Déjà Entendu

Have you been studying a language different from your mother tongue? You may have experienced the frustration of trying to remember an idiom you’ve overheard in the past, from a conversation or a lesson. That’s what Déjà Entendu is for. It lets you highlight and review unfamiliar terms in your Voice Memos for future study.

Déjà Entendu (meaning “already heard” in French) lets iOS, iPadOS, and macOS users dive deeper into their Voice Memos on their own device, to study unfamiliar vocabulary in their existing private recordings.

Private by design

It is not a cloud service. Any use of the on-device, Apple-bundled language model stays private to you — nothing is uploaded, and there’s no backend at all. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Languages

Initially we intend to target Chinese, Japanese, German, and French. Other languages are likely to follow in subsequent releases.
